Batman Superman #2

Batman Superman #2 was much better than the first issue.  It appears that our heroes Superman and Batman have been moved through time and dimension to a world that has other versions of Superman and Batman.  These versions appear to be older and wiser in addition to being married.  The story is still a little choppy in places jumping without transition.  But now that we have more of the players discovered things will hopefully improve story wise.

Ame-Comi Girls #1 !!!

Ame-Comi Girls #1 (the series) is actually just a continuation of the previous series that introduced the reader to all the nice ladies.  While the previous issues had some handy dialog and story building up this issue just had a big fight with Wonder Woman yelling about stabbing or smashing things.  The defeat of Supergirl was very anti-climactic and disappointing.  At least Powergirl has something happening at the center of the Earth that turns out to be a giant computer.  It is strange that no one noticed the lack of a molten iron core at the center of the Earth before this moment.  While the art work was not that great especially the fight scenes at least the entire issue was more than a giant slice of fan service.

Ame-Comi Girls #5

Ame-Comi Girls #5 Featuring Supergirl.  Was kind of disappointing, while we see some of Supergirl’s backstory it is not complete and nowhere near the detail given to Superman’s backstory.   The writers seemed much more interesting in placing the female characters into positions the reveal their crotches and breasts than advancing a story.  At least this is the issue where yes Brainiac reveals her plan to destroy the world and she has been preparing to fight Supergirl.  I gather there is some backstory as to how or why Braniac knew there were Kryptonians on Earth but as the story is told it is a weak story.  At least we now have all the main and some of the second string supers assembled for the big old invade Earth fight.  Oh well.
