Batman the Dark Knight #22!!
Batman the Dark Knight #22 – continues the Clayface is
suddenly all powerful and unstoppable storyline. Really the only person being fooled by this
story is the creative team and maybe the people who thought a five issue Mad
Hatter story was a great idea. Because
as a long time comic book reader I knew Jim Gordon would not just kill in cold
blood a bunch of criminals with no real reason.
So it was obviously not him. Just
as it was obvious that Batman was not doing those bad things Clayface did while
looking like Batman. Just wake me when
the Zero Year storyline starts.

Batman #20 !!!
Batman #20 was the continuation of the stupid Clayface story
with Clayface having a new power when he mimics other people. The fight was interesting none the least. I especially like how Batman fakes out Commissioner
Gordon with the supposedly fake DNA to show he was not actually Bruce
Wayne. This all seems to just be an
excuse to set up the Batman Year Zero storyline starting next issue. There were a few weird things going on that
could only be explained by no one knowing who Batman really was. Then there was the Superman team-up story
with the demon or ghost. It was
interesting and thankfully short. I did
think it was funny that Superman could not find Batman at the end of the story.

Talon #6
Talon #6 was interesting but left more questions than it
answered. I am sure this was the intent
of the creative team. Turns out after
letting himself get captured that Talon was taken to the head of the Court of
Owls, where he is informed that he has actually been working for the old
Grandmaster of the Court of Owls. All
the time he thought he was working to destroy what remained of the Court of
Owls our hero Talon was actually working for the guy whom directed the fight against
Batman and killed off all those members of the Court. True or not at least it is interesting, a bit
predictable and some information that might have been held back a few more
issues. The creative team actually
managed to bring in Batman and Jim Gordon for a page. Anyway this actually turned out to be a good
story and hopefully it indicates an improvement in the quality of this comic.

The Dark Knight!
Batman
the Dark Knight number sixteen – was kind of long and a bit boring. This was the introductory issue of a story
that will cover more than this single issue.
I’m all for adding the Mad Hatter to the current new52 world. But what I did not need was the Spider-Man like
dating drama from the life of Bruce Wayne – besides which did the Piano Lady
not dump him already before the Death of the Family story? Oh well – DC sure is convinced continuity is
not a top concern of the Batman readers.

Batman!
Detective Comics Batman continues with issue 15 and another
Death in the Family Story. I kind of
liked this issue, but I had to go re-read the previous Death stories to find
jar my memory about what happened last time.
It is hard to go wrong with a Clayface & Poison Ivy story line.
And I am now caught up with comics released December 5,
2012.

Batman!
Batman Inc. should be interesting. But the “plot” is erratic and does not seem
to have a focus. While the “flashback”
“dream” or whatever the middle story was supposed to be was interesting. Frankly I do not know how much longer I will
continue to read this book.
Batman the Dark Knight number 14 is a good issue, just some
action and moving on. None of that badly
acted “fear” dreams. I am not sure how
many more “Super Fear Poisons” the Scarecrow can really keep making. Batman is just immune at this point and that
might include all of Gotham City as well.
